About us

Teaching has been at the heart of everything Dr. Jennifer Bambrick does since 2010, spanning the classroom, the university level, and everything in between.

Jennifer began her career teaching middle school English to Speakers of Other Languages, where she was inspired to learn all she could about how to effectively teach reading. She went on to teach both third and fifth grade before stepping into broader roles that would further shape her expertise.

Building on her classroom experience, Jennifer served as a school-based literacy coach in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, a K–12 Instructional Coach for the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program, a LETRS National Trainer, and an Assistant Professor of Education at Walsh University. Throughout her career, she has also continued to work directly with students as a private literacy tutor.

This breadth of experience across classrooms, schools, teacher preparation, professional learning, and higher education gives Jennifer a unique perspective on literacy education. She understands the challenges of teaching reading not only from the research and university level, but from the perspective of the educators and students putting that knowledge into practice.

Today, Jennifer works with teachers, schools, universities, families, and organizations across the U.S. and beyond, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support stronger readers.

"This trainer clearly has expertise and practice in teaching this content. I appreciated her personal anecdotes about working with students — she can not only talk about this content, but she can use it in her work too."

"Thank you so much Dr. Bambrick!  You have made this course enjoyable and eye-opening!  You have such a wealth of knowledge and experience, that I am truly impressed.  I have been teaching quite a while, and I appreciate all of the content I have learned in this course. I hope to end my career better than I started, and this course has definitely helped!
